We consider this beautiful course to be the Jewel in our crown. You only have to read the testimonials to see the depth of impact which it has on Graduates’ lives as Teachers, Yogis and Humans.
This month is a coming together of teachers from different backgrounds, lineages, systems and experiences. Within this container it’s an opportunity to safely explore, try new things, hone your skills, receive feedback and find your true, authentic voice. We meet you where you are at… There is no pressure to show up as anything more than you are.
At Path of Yoga we believe in supporting you in clarifying your true intentions behind your teaching choices. Our ethos is that there is no single “correct path”. There are many different ways to do a thing… and by clarifying one’s intention, one can then confidently make the teaching choices which best support that goal.
At the end of this month, you will have taken your teaching to the next level, and will continue to benefit for years to come.
The Course is made up of several modules, each of which is carefully curated to help you take this next step into advanced teaching.
We dedicate a significant amount of time to this topic. We explore functional anatomy through the prism of common injuries and how to respond to them. The Module is split into 3 sections:
Katrien has a PHD in Biomedical science and has worked as a researcher on neuromuscular disorders. She also studied with James who comes from the Jason Crandell school of Yoga Anatomy, and so she combines these various influences to bring these teachings in a fun and practical way.
We believe that the number one cause of injury in the Yoga room is poor sequencing! It is one of the most important skills for a Yoga Teacher to have, and one that most teachers seem least confident in. By the end of this course you will have a much deeper understanding of how to approach sequencing, how to structure creative yet safe classes and how to continue refining your approach. And beyond this, we will look at structuring courses and workshops too.
This is one of the most fascinating parts of the course that includes looking at how people learn and how we need to adapt our communication with different students. We will take a look at our unconscious teaching habits and patterns (we all have them!) and ask the question of whether this is truly the best way to serve our students.
On certain days during the course we will be joined by Antonio, who is a specialist in practicing and teaching Advanced poses! Don’t worry if there are some that you cannot do, he will present all of the preparation poses and modifications so that each person can work with the right level of challenge for them. You will learn how to teach and modify each pose to whichever level you are comfortable.
In this fun module, we will first explore the concept of “Informed Consent” and the challenges that this presents in the Yoga room. Then we will explore different approaches to adjusting. Even if you are a teacher who prefers not to use Physical Assists, this module will teach you a lot about intentions within a pose. Our “Path of Yoga Adjustment Circus” sessions are a common favourite amongst students and graduates.
Whereas on the Level 1 we focussed on Patanjali and the Yoga Sutras, now we will present an introduction to Tantric Thought. Whether you are a teacher who incorporates Philosophy or not, this is a wonderful opportunity to explore the concept of non-duality which lies behind so many of Yoga’s Sacred Texts and Teachings.
Amy Devani is one of Path of Yoga’s most senior Level-1 Facilitators and will be joining us as a guest teacher to lead this unique workshop on these 10 Tantric Goddesses.
This module is a very special online 50-hour YTT taught by James. It is pre-recorded so you can go at your own pace, and you can choose to do it before or after the training. In this course you will learn how to teach Chakra Yoga, and how to incorporate the Chakras into your regular classes. James spent many years learning and working with great Kundalini and Chakra Teachers. He taught weekend workshops on the Chakras for several years at London’s Triyoga Studio. This course is the culmination of all his work and knowledge. You will also have access to fortnightly calls with James and other Path of Yoga Teachers so that you can bring your Chakra related questions and continue your education.
In addition to all of this, we will explore Pranayama and Breathwork, Meditation, Non-Violent Communication (NVC), Chanting and Singing, Acro-Yoga, Psycho-Spiritual Work, Addressing Stress, Anxiety and Unprocessed Emotions and much, much more!
From the school’s inception, our ethos has always been a commitment to quality and authenticity, no matter what. We work to the highest standard, always looking to evolve and update our teachings and practices. We only employ Teachers of the highest calibre… Teachers who have successful careers teaching Public Classes, Retreats and Workshops and are not only Teacher Trainers. These Teachers will travel to the training to live with you in the Resort so that you can benefit from maximum access and support throughout the month. We do not employ random teachers who happen to live in the area.
We refuse to water-down our offering even if it would be financially beneficial to do so. There is not “fluff’ or “padding” in this course. The entire curriculum has been put together with a great deal of attention, care and Love.
The course is designed for those who are truly dedicated to Yoga and to improving their Teaching Skills and Methodology. And so it is aimed at those who truly want to dive deep. We always tell people; this is not a Yoga Holiday… but if you commit yourself to these 29 days, you can transform your teaching and your life.
Unfortunately, there are many Yoga Teachers out there who just want a 300-hour certificate (for various reasons) but they aren’t too concerned about attending a high quality course. Since they are merely seeking the certification, their focus is finding the cheapest possible course. As always… supply will meet demand. And so there are many courses out there that do the bare minimum so that they can run a low-cost course and issue a certificate at the end. They will employ whichever inexpensive teacher happens to be available, and there will be little quality control or emphasis on education. These courses typically have plenty of practice time but very little in the way of building teaching-skills or advanced teaching methodology. These courses will be more relaxed about commitment and attendance etc.
If you looking for that sort of course, then let us save you the time and tell you that the Path of Yoga 300-hour is not for you.
Every aspect of this course has been lovingly created to support your development and your spiritual and professional journey.
It’s beautiful and deep… but requires commitment, dedication and work.
You will be challenged and you will be held.
You will be encouraged to face old behaviours, and supported to try new things.
And you will have the experience of a lifetime that will support your evolution for years to come.
This course is designed for those who are truly committed to improving as teachers and dedicated to the beautiful Path which we call Yoga.
Designed for dedicated yoga practitioners seeking to deepen their practice and expand their teaching skills, this transformative training offers an opportunity for growth and self-discovery. Scroll down to see available dates and send us an inquiry if you’d like to join. We still have a place for you in 2025!
Students who have previously completed their Yoga Alliance 200 Hour Level 1 training, and want to take their teaching to the next level.
Your path to becoming a Yoga Alliance 500-hour certified yoga teacher is so much more than just learning breathwork and poses; this is your opportunity to progress with your practice, and develop and flourish into a more confident, knowledgeable yoga teacher.
Each morning, you will start the day with two hours of asana practice, followed by lectures and discussion. You will then move into practical exploration and teaching skills. The teaching day finishes with Pranayama.
