We recommend that students have at least a few months of practical yoga experience, with a weekly commitment of 3-5 hours, before joining our program. However, we welcome individuals of all levels and abilities, including those who are new to yoga. If you feel ready to join our program despite having less experience, we would be happy to discuss your options. Please contact us here.
The style of yoga we teach is a blend of traditional hatha combined with dynamic vinyasa. We have created our own unique and authentic union of the two, resulting in a strong yet nourishing practice. The essence and heart of our YTT courses is the philosophy and sacred traditions of the East, combined with a science based, modern approach from the West.
In terms of the Hatha/Vinyasa breakdown, it is roughly a 50/50 split. Some classes during the course may be more Hatha focused and some more Vinyasa, but overall it’s balanced. Our aspiration is to dive as deeply as we can into both and allow future graduates to teach what makes them come alive in their own practice, so some may teach more of one or the other, or a combination of the two,
By the end of the course you will have taught several classes to your fellow students, with the final practicum being 60 minutes (this may seem like a lot, but you will be more than ready at this point in the training!). You will leave feeling confident and ready to teach that class, or a similar one, to friends, family, Yoga studios and future students!
Upon successful completion of the course you will receive an internationally recognised Yoga Alliance 200/300 hour certificate.
This means you will be eligible to become a Yoga Alliance certified teacher, enabling you to teach world-wide and become a Registered Yoga Teacher.
We have a 1:6 ratio, with two or three lead teachers plus a Path of Yoga graduate as an assistant, so you can expect plenty of personal care and attention.
The group size is often 6-10 students, but occasionally larger during high season. If we have 12+ students there will be three lead teachers; all living with you full time on site.
Our students come from around the world, and are of varying ages and abilities. The training is a magical way to create a global family with connections that will last a lifetime!
All of our resorts are well versed in dealing with allergy and dietary requirements, and we will do our best to cater for you. Please let us know of any requirements in your registration form.
You will have three delicious vegetarian meals per day, served in a buffet style; more than enough to leave you feeling happy and healthy for the course duration.
Your course fee includes:
26 days (200hr YTT) / 29 days (300hr YTT) accommodation
Three freshly prepared & healthy vegetarian meals per day
Training, Tuition and Yoga Alliance accredited certification (upon successful completion of the course)
Manual and course materials
A gift from India!
There will always be free herbal teas and water available.
⁘
Please note, travel costs (flights and taxi to resort) and yoga mats are not included in the course fees. But besides this, you will be fully and lovingly catered for!
Apart from travel costs, it really depends on how much you like to shop and the gifts you wish to bring home! Thailand, Peru and India are very well priced, so if you brought an extra 200-300 USD you would be well prepared for any little extras at the resort, plus a few nice gifts from the markets too.
The course starts by 4pm on the first day with an opening ceremony, followed by our first group meal. Please arrive between 12pm-2pm, so that you have time to unpack and settle into your room. We recommend you arrive into the country at least a day early to recover from any jet lag and so that you are prepared for the training!
We provide recommendations of our favourite nearby accommodation in our orientation pack, which you will receive after paying your deposit.
The last day will finish by 2pm. That morning we will have our final Yoga practice followed by a closing circle where certificates are presented, although it may go a little later as hugs and goodbyes can often be hard to say no to! We recommend booking a flight home the following day as most students like to visit the town together before departing.
The first day and the last day are part of your training hours – you must attend the full training in order to gain your certification.
