With a background in fitness training and mindfulness, Kali came to Yoga in her search to find a more holistic approach to living. A decade of practice, training and teaching have evolved to incorporate two ends of the spectrum from deep meditive yin to a slow but strong hatha providing plenty of opportunity to immerse and connect within. Kali initially trained with Swami Shanti Prasad in Traditional Hatha Yoga, then a couple of years later completed 500 hours with Rory and James at Tribe Yoga. She gratefully draws inspiration from study and practice with some of her favourite teachers: Tias Little, Sarah Powers, John Scott, Leela Sarti, Thich Nhat Hahn, Bhante Gunaratana.
As a meditation enthusiast, Kali shares guidance and insight from regular silent retreats and daily practice which has been profoundly transformative in terms of her own personal development. Studies in Thai Massage Therapy and SATYA (subtle awareness training for yoga attunement) with Tias Little, have inspired a passion for subtle anatomy, neuroscience and mindful metta movement to unravel residual trauma and tension.
Kali’s teaching style encourages practitioners to sense into the subtle realms of the body for deep connection and awareness through blended somatic movement, hatha, yin and meditation.
As a free spirit, nature lover, healthy living advocate and well-being activist, Kali promotes Yoga & natural health as a way of life in her favourite part of the world, North Cornwall. Catch her at the Luxury Eco Scarlet Hotel for Yoga and Wellbeing Breaks; as a teacher on insight timer app or teaching workshops and retreats around UK & Europe.
