If you don’t find an answer to a question you have, just get in touch, you can always expect a speedy response from us or we can organise a Skype/Whatsapp call if you prefer, we’re here to help.
We normally ask that students have 1 year of practical Yoga experience of around 3-5hrs per week before joining. Although if you have attended an immersion course/retreat, or have less experience and feel that you are ready then we are happy to discuss as per individual your case.
We share a love for a strong and nourishing dynamic Vinyasa practice married with traditional Hatha. In terms of Hatha/Vinyasa breakdown; it is roughly 50/50 split. Some classes during the course may be more Hatha focused and some more Vinyasa, but overall it’s balanced. Our aspiration is to dive as deeply as we can into both and allow future graduates to teach what makes them come alive in their own practice, so some may teach more of one or the other…or balanced! By the end of the course you will have taught several classes to your fellow students, the final class you teach will be 60 minutes in duration (it may seem a lot but you will be more than ready at that point!). This will leave you feeling confident and ready to teach that class, or a similar one to friends, family, Yoga studios and future students!
Upon successful completion of the course you will receive a Yoga Alliance, internationally recognised 200hr certificate. This is all you need to get the appropriate insurance to start teaching in Yoga studios worldwide.
We usually have around 12-18 people on each course. Varying ages and varying nationalities are always present, it really is a magical way to create a global family with connections that will last a lifetime! We always have a minimum of 2 lead teachers, an anatomy teacher and 1 or 2 assistants. This is an unusually good teacher to student ratio, so you can expect plenty of personal care and attention.
Yes we do, all of our resorts are well versed in dealing with any allergy requirements you may have. Gluten free, dairy free etc can also easily be accommodated, just let us know. Included in the course fees are 3 delicious vegetarian meals per day, served in a buffet style; more than enough to leave you feeling happy and healthy for the course duration.
All prices can be found here and include absolutely everything you need for the duration of the course, apart from travel costs (flights and taxi to resort) and a Yoga mat…you will be fully and lovingly catered for.
Apart from travel costs, it really depends on how much you like to shop and the gifts you wish to bring home! Thailand, Peru and India are very well priced, so if you brought an extra 200 Euro you would be well prepared for any extra drinking coconuts you wanted at the resort plus a few nice gifts too. There will always be free herbal teas and water available.
The course begins at 4pm with an opening circle, followed by our first group meal. We recommend that you arrive a few hours before this (around 12-1pm), so you can unpack and settle into your room. Some students do like to arrive into the country a day or so before, and we can organise a night in the resort beforehand where possible, although many choose to stay in the surrounding area. We will provide recommendations of hotels/hostels nearby in our orientation pack, which is sent upon successful application.
The course ends around 1pm. That morning we will have our final Yoga practice followed by a closing circle where certificates are presented…. although it may go a little later as hugs and goodbyes can often be hard to say no to! The latest we will depart the resort is 2pm (if you do wish to stay an extra night this can be arranged where possible).
