What is 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training?
300-hour yoga teacher training is a professional development program that builds on the foundational knowledge and skills learned in a 200-hour teacher training. The 300-hour program expands on the 200-hour curriculum to include more advanced teachings, techniques, and teaching methodology. Designed for those passionate about yoga and committed to personal growth, our Level 2 training opens doors to new dimensions of understanding, authenticity, and teaching excellence.
Why embark on the path of Level 2, 300HR Yoga Teacher Training?
This advanced program is tailored for yogis who are hungry for more. It provides a unique space for dedicated practitioners to transcend their limitations, cultivate self-awareness, and tap into their untapped potential as both practitioners and teachers. By delving into the subtleties of asana, pranayama, meditation, and philosophy, you embark on a transformative journey that transcends the physical practice, guiding you towards deeper wisdom, compassion, and authenticity.
Expanding Knowledge and Skillset
Our Level 2 training is a comprehensive curriculum that goes beyond the fundamentals covered in a 200-hour training. Led by experienced and highly skilled teachers, including our founder James French, this program offers a wealth of wisdom, insights, and techniques to enhance your teaching abilities. From advanced asana variations and sequencing principles to in-depth studies of yogic philosophy, anatomy, and energetic systems, you’ll expand your knowledge and develop a well-rounded skillset that sets you apart as a confident and competent yoga teacher.

“A month of truly inspirational teaching, wisdom, insight and shared knowledge as well as laughter, joy, tears, release… It is hard to articulate what I received on this beautiful training for it is so much more than words can convey. My heart is full of gratitude and I am ready to share it with others… May the light that I received ignite the light within all those whose path crosses with mine…” – Tanya Marie Green
Kaomai Lanna is 45 minutes from Chiang Mai airport, in northern Thailand. It is one of our favourite retreat centres and we are really happy (for you and us!) to have secured it for our training. The rooms are peaceful, air-conditioned and beautifully decorated. It is perhaps one of the most photogenic resorts in Chiang Mai, and when you visit it, you’ll see why! The food is vegetarian and truly delicious. In your free time you can chill out by the beautiful pool, or relax within the picturesque tropical grounds.
Each morning, you will start the day with two hours of asana practice, followed by lectures and discussion. You will then move into practical exploration and teaching skills. The teaching day finishes with Pranayama.

James was born in London and first discovered yoga in 2003. However, he truly caught the yoga-bug a few years later, during sunrise practices overlooking the rooftops of Udaipur with an old yogi named Prakash.
Following a martial-arts incurred neck injury, he was told that surgery was the only option. However he resisted and experienced an amazing recovery through his Yoga practice. He soon returned to India to train and embark on his path as a Yoga Teacher.
James has taught on over 15 YTTs and has received over 1000 hours of training, including two separate 300-hour qualifications – one with his main Asana teacher, Jason Crandell. His other major influences are Max Strom, Yogrishi Vishvketu, David Swenson, Christopher Wallis and his guru, Sri Prem Baba.
Classes involve a challenging, creative flow with focus on strength, stability and alignment to attain states of union between mind, body and spirit. James has a particular interest in Psycho-spiritual work, and the way that emotions are stored in the body and how we can release them to promote deeper well being and healing. He also incorporates the more subtle, energetic aspects of Hatha Yoga as a route to healing and inner peace.
He has taught all over the world, but loves to return to his hometown of London every summer where he teaches at some of his favourite studios including Triyoga.
You can follow James’ inspiring yoga and travel journey on his Instagram profile and read more about him on his website.
