Sharon has been teaching yoga in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2008 and practicing since 2002. Her yoga practice has brought her joy, grounding, challenge, strength, growth and constant learning. In September 2019 she moved to Sicily indefinitely to explore life beyond what she had grown accustomed to in the United States.
Her yoga practice serves many roles: a laboratory of physical and mental self exploration, a coping mechanism, and a way to connect to something bigger than herself. The practice of yoga has helped her find her life purpose – to share yoga with as many people as possible during her lifetime so they can feel connected, empowered, accepted and strong both on their mats and in their everyday lives.
Sharon is a 500-hour certified registered yoga teacher (RYT 500) as well as a certified personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (CPT). She loves to blend these modalities in a vigorous and well balanced power vinyasa yoga classes guided by the power of breath and intelligent sequencing. She integrates meditation and various strength training techniques into her yoga classes to serve all the needs of your body, mind, heart and soul.
Since 2012, Sharon has led more than 20 yoga trainings including: 200 hour yoga teacher trainings; 50 hour yoga sculpt teacher trainings; 50 hour level 2 advanced continuing education teacher trainings; and numerous mentorships with teachers looking to expand their knowledge of intelligent sequencing, physical adjustments and class theming. She loves working with and training other teachers – whether you are a new teacher-in-training or a seasoned teacher who has been teaching for many years – she loves being a part of a teacher’s learning and growing as they find their authentic voice and teaching style. And this allows her to constantly learn and evolve herself.
Sharon is grateful for her teachers of the past and present as they have inspired her dedication to her own practice and have encouraged her to share the gift of yoga with others. Her primary teacher is Jason Crandell. She has also studied with Karl Erb, Darren Main, Janet Stone and Dharma Mittra.
