Josh found yoga and meditation in response to challenging life circumstances, and in spring 2019 he completed his first 200hr teacher training with Path of Yoga in Rishikesh, India. Teaching ever since, he has made yoga his life’s focus and has undertaken continuous training with Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa to develop knowledge and skill in order to be a more potent and authentic channel for the teachings, including completing Path of Yoga’s 300hr level 2 teacher training in 2023. He was invited to be part of the senior teaching team which he gratefully accepted.
His approach to yoga strengthens the mind-body connection, encompassing the traditional eight-limbed path, whilst embracing the great mysteries of life, and honouring the sacred inward journey towards healing and self-awareness. Often praised for his clarity of communication and depth of knowledge, his special interests include spiritual philosophy, breathwork, and shadow work.
Outside of yoga, Josh enjoys the van life, mountain hiking, wild water swimming, and the wonderful world of nature. He also enjoys movies, music, and writing.
